The first day is always the hardest,
when you open the doors like a gate,
all the stress and anxiety,
every student looking at you with judgment eyes,
parents saying it’s going to be a funhouse,
but in reality it’s all books and days getting slower and slower
the ticking of the clock while writing a four page essay,
the smell of weed for the person next to you,
This is life and this is high school.
