Father of the Year Award
One fellow Kevin, a hard-working dad,
Has three children, including me, and is the best we could have.
Working from sunrise to sunset, he wants what is best for his family.
No doing by my dad is done lazily.
Along with many family members, he works as a salesman at an electrical company.
Although there is a better title for his job, I never remember it, funnily.
I am blessed to have my father in my life;
Everyone he knows regards him as a delight.
He is goofy and playful; a smile is forever on his face.
He treats everyone he meets as one of his mates.
I have not seen a day where my dad does not crack a joke.
An even rarer day is if he were to not provoke
A laugh or smile from my sisters or me.
Together we, as a family, have created countless memories.
Babies always seem to like him, everywhere we go.
Children are believed to see into people’s souls,
Which makes sense: my dad has a big, beautiful heart.
He plays pool with his buddies, an activity he has loved since the start.
On the television, the Sports Channel is playing all night,
Which is probably a reason for his horrible eyesight.
