A huge blessing in which I am glad

Is the one who my brother and I call dad.

He has black hair that is becoming grey

and wears the same thing every single day.

He wears very dark clothing

and is always seen joking.

Suits are the only thing he wears

With his cufflinks that come in pairs.

He used to be the guy in charge

Of the Hard Rock Hotel that was very large.

But then it fell to the ground one morning

And it all came down without a warning.

There are no hotels with jobs in town to be seen,

So he has to move to a country that has a queen.

Spain is where he has to move to

And it all came up out of the blue.

I will miss the smiles we shared a lot

And the times that we were deep in thought.

He is always there when anyone needs someone

To laugh or cry or have some fun.

He knows how to brighten up everyone’s day

Just by making sure they’re okay.

My dad is someone very special to me

And I will miss him a lot across the sea.
