There is a special role model in my life 

My mom, the one that helps me through my strife 

Who is a beautiful woman with a loving soul

And has been given the gift to console

She displays her love in small ways

As she works hard each and every day

To make sure that I am prepared for things 

And everything else that life brings 

She is a selfless person with a heart so giving 

And to others is always forgiving 

I am thankful for my mom, my role model, my best friend 

That understands me in a way that no one else can 

If it weren’t for her then I would not be here today

For she has watched me grow, love, and pray 

Into the young lady I have become 

And she brightens my day when I feel glum 

By flashing her sweet smile 

And calming me all the while 

My mom has been there for me since the beginning 

And especially when things are ending   

She will be guiding me on my way 

And in my heart she will stay 

I would like to express my gratitude for my mother  

Because there will never be another like her 

And this woman that I get the privilege to call my mom 

That shelters me with so much love 

From preparing home cooked meals every night 

To tucking me into bed as a child at night 

I express my thanksgiving for the woman that is my mom 

As I look forward to our memories to come
