Rain
Rain trickles down from the cloudy sky, pouring down,
A flash of lightning,
Then a loud crash of thunder rattles the whole house.
The fat cat runs faster than we ever knew she could run,
Down… down…
Into the basement.
While the other cat is warm, snuggled up on my lap,
Cuddling in her favorite blanket.
I keep my windows open, despite the rain,
Just so i can feel the cool breeze,
And hear the rain pelting down.
These are my favorite days,
Not a worry on my mind, just relaxing, calm.
