An Exercise In Sport
The wind will never cease.
Blowing back
and forth
between my ears
It teases me on the court.
It’s a great day to play tennis
The sun is beaming
It’s not too hot
A shame about the wind, though.
People are at attention.
The big game is unraveling.
Balls fly
left and right
A battle between two
A weapon
swung back and forth
Like lightning crashing down
Cries of exhilteration
anguish
and triumph
And
at the end of the day
The match decides its victor.
