That's what you do when the curtain is falling- you give the line that the audience wants to hear.

What’s the point of living if you don’t have love?

Why do we fight when there’s no reward?

Is it kindness destroying our soul

Or is it stupidity devouring us whole?

Appreciate rather than acknowledge

Why say you love it when you really don’t care?

Why does my imagination only work on the darkest days?

Why does creativity only come with pain?

Traveling forwards in time

To see what we become

Traveling backwards in time

To see how far we’ve come

I’m a mess with OCD

I express my pain through creativity

You’re organized with hard feelings

You express your pain through words with meaning

Emotions running round like wild horses

Yet not so pretty, they’re way too mean

Tears bringing only more problems

Why are my words so messed up and mean?

I see the big picture, the why, what and how

You only see what we are right now

What’s the point of going on if you don’t have a goal?

The rearview? Forget it, I only see what’s ahead

Imagination running wild and yet I still can’t write a story

These words never landing long enough for me to see

You see words, I see pictures

Stuck in my mind and painted with bright colors

My words cut deep

Laced through with philosophy

Your words leave shallow bruises

Science and reality never getting through

What’s the point of knowledge without understanding?

You might know the meaning of life but you don’t know what it means

I feel on the inside

You only feel on the outside

You might know my name but do you know what I can do?

I’ll give you a name based on what you were made for

You’ll make a strategy

I’ll give you the possibilities

You like the reality

I like the fantasy

Only because I can’t face the real world

It hurts me to see everything that’s going wrong

Take the risk

Don’t stand on the edge

Take the leap

Don’t turn and run back

Think with your head, not that thing in your chest

Sorry, but my head hasn’t gotten me to this

Thinking with my heart has gotten me this far

Thinking with my brain got me stuck in my head

Right brain

Left brain

We’re not the same

We may be different but we’re still playing this game

Being left-brained, I was inspired to make this poem about the struggle between the two sides, whether it be with actual people or a psychological battle.
