blue
blue:
the profound color of sorrow,
the calm before the storm,
and the color of my lips as i scream into the cold night air.
why did i have to lose her?
she was the color blue,
the kind of pale blue that blurred in front of your eyes;
the kind of soothing blue that painted the walls of my heart
before she was
g o n e.
she vanished in an infinitesimal second:
the clock tick, tick, ticked,
and she left,
forever.
in that fleeting moment,
the effervescent blue inside my heart turned a dismal navy.
there is blue, blue, blue all around me;
so beautiful,
and yet so indescribably melancholy.
