Work is Life.
You wake up in the morning, not wanting to get up.
You get up anyway.
School is too important to just skip you always think to yourself.
You’re so tired your legs wobble,
almost as if they’re still asleep.
School is the start of your life if you don’t go to school the rest of your life will go downhill.
You know it gets harder in life and that everyone makes it.
Well not everyone.
You get dressed,
not always to impress.
Because at school everything matters.
You brush your teeth because,
if you don’t know you’ll regret it later on.
You don’t eat breakfast,
you don’t have time today.
School is too important to just miss.
You go to school,
your brain gets jam-packed with things you’re learning.
Your teachers give you new homework.
You keep your grades up,
You study hard,
because if you don’t now;
you’ll regret it for the rest of your life.
You think to yourself,
school is too important to fail.
Your teacher gets you in groups sometimes.
You think of all the worst possibilities that could happen if someone in the group messes up.
School is too important,
you can’t rely on someone who you know won’t do well.
School is too important.
You finally finished high school,
your hard work paid off.
You got a scholarship.
But, College is just the same.
This school is more important.
If you fail this,
your life will go downhill.
You study every night and you do all of your work.
This year is different,
you can barely pass this class.
You get a job,
hoping it’ll help pay off college.
School gets harder and harder.
You still can’t bare getting a lower grade than a B.
School is too important,
your life depends on this school.
School is over.
You got the job you’ve always wanted.
The job is hard.
But, it pays off your bills, and your loans.
You make your way up top at work.
You don’t have any real friends.
Work is important,
your life depends on it.
Go to work, work hard.
Go home, eat, sleep, and go back to work.
Your life is work.
But, your life depends on it.
