The Tree
October 24, 2019
The tree outside Royal Oak High School,
is not a regular tree.
It was split down the middle,
like it was struck by lightning.
This tree has been here longer than us,
Long before the school was even built.
It has been through a lot in its life time.
Look closely,
you will see a broken heart on the tree.
Just like the tree,
They were both broken,
and split in half.
