Beauty is a Masquerade
You are not blonde.
You are not skinny.
You will never be considered pretty.
Throw on some makeup,
Style your hair,
Then maybe people will actually care.
Put on all of the most fashionable clothes,
Make sure your skin flawlessly glows.
Forget who you were,
You’ve fully changed.
Beauty is a masquerade.

I wrote this poem after going into a clothing store and could not find any clothing in my size. I was upset to see that people my size have trouble finding something as simple ascute clothes. Society has pretty much unreachable standards for beauty now and it's been a struggle to conform for a lot of people.
