Dreams
I saw you
I saw your eyes
It was as if there was nowhere else to look
They gazed straight into mine
They set fire to my heart
I saw you
I saw your smile
How you tried your best to hide it
How bright it shined
It gave me one of my own
I saw you
I saw every fine detail
Every perfect feature
And every gorgeous flaw
I was so blessed to see it all
I saw us
I saw our future
The first kiss that made me feel like a child
I saw us
I saw only us
Only love
Lying in each other’s arms
Forgetting the world
We were both so happy
You were perfect
Everything...was perfect
But then I woke up
Because you didn’t exist
And you never will
You see
You only exist in my fondest of dreams
I’ll never meet you
I’ll never be with you
And that’s what pains me
