I'll Leave You
This back,
These shoulders,
Laden with muscle
Burdened with strength burdened with weight,
What powerful tissue,
What heavy flesh,
Strength and burden walk hand in hand.
How free you would be to be rid of this earth.
This back,
These shoulders,
Lifted of the weight of the world, liberated and released,
You would be free.
I will go.
Meet me
In the stars

I would prefer people don't know the meaning of this poem, but if you absolutely must, I'll tell you. This poem refers to how some people are burdened by love and carry not only their own weight, but also the world of another person. I like to think that reading this should feel like reading an old love letter between two people you never knew. Two people who had an unbalanced relationship they attempted to hold onto for too long. The writer, after having realized too late that they have given their life into the hands of the recipient, is now witnessing their beloved struggle to remain upright under so much pressure. They must let go, and the writer can only hope that breaking apart is the only way to stay together.
