I was your Appendix
They say I had no use
You’ll be just fine
You believed them
I was removed
The operation was a success
But you were my Heart
You kept me alive
You also left me
When I needed you the most
Charge to 700
Why did you leave
Come back
White lights faded to black
We’re losing her
You see
I cannot survive
Without my Heart

This work compares the loss of someone who was important in your life (friends, family, significant other, etc.) to the value of specific body organs. A Grey's Anatomy episode partly inspired me to write this piece.
