Anger
We argued
Words flying back and forth
Like tennis balls in a match
They stab me in the heart
But I refuse to cry out
We argued
The words started a fire
The flames engulf us
But we don’t care
We’re too wrapped up in fury
Smoke erases the sun from the sky
Day turns into night
Finally
The fire burns out
Everything is gone
Reduced to ashes
We walk away from the ruins
Swallowed up by remorse
