The Sunshine State

The warmth of the sun

Grasps onto my skin

I look up only to see

So much green

Green palm trees,

Swaying in the breeze.

Green grass,

Giving off a sweet scent.

Green Plants,

Growing the most colorful,

And exotic fruits.

Driving down a winding road,

With the top down.

The trees enclose the pavement,

Taking the sun's brightness away.

The salty air,

Hurling my hair around.

I drag my feet through the sand,

Exposing the water underneath.

My body plunges in

Only to let the most elegant water,

Soak up my dry skin.

I search through the crystal blue ocean

Seeing the most stunning,

And graceful fish swimming

In their own world,

That I have now invaded.
