But would you love me?

Would you like the me I am,

not the me I portray?

Would you protect me from my enemies?

Would you face the blade for me,

like I would for you?

Would you spill your own blood for my name?

Would you invest your everything in me?

Would you hold my hand

when I’m covered in the blood I've spilt?

Would you hold me close when tears are shed,

like I wished I could’ve done for you?

Would you love and cherish me,

in sickness and in health,

for richer or for poorer,

for better or for worse,

for so long as we both live?

Because for you I’d say

”I do”

But I know 

you wouldn’t say the same

because reality abruptly ends

all dreams

and we are still the same.
