here you are
feet rooted into the ground
face turned upward, cries of despair stabbing
the sky.
the sky screams back.
you're flooded with the tears of the forgotten.
in this moment, you are being sucked into the dark.
you think you're alone.
but you aren't alone.
take our hands instead.
we run away from the storm,
our feet slapping the slick pavement.
we are free.
watch our breath fade into nothing.
watch us live, love, cry, scream, shout, laugh.
watch us. we will.
we'll defy everything.
WATCH US.
