Camp fire on a cold night
Camp fire on a cold night
I was the one who came in search of you,
was down, frustrated ,everything around me seemed fake.
Needed a break and that's when I came to you,
Climbed mountains ,walked narrow roads ,
Was hurt again and again but never stopped,
It was night and the words of people made me cold,
Needed warmth and that's when I came to you.
There you were burning in the cold night,
With bursting flames which lightened me ,
Came near you but couldn't get closer , cause when I did ,
I was hurt again , but this time it was you and not the others.
Couldn't go away any further ,cause I'd die of the cold that was growing in me , but you were the one who made me warm , who made me who I am , but couldn't go near you.
You were my camp fire on a cold night.

This was one of my first piece and this poem was born from a lot of emotional experiences and scarring . It will always act as a medium through which I am able to express my emotions, feeling and thoughts... This poem simply potrays the reality of longing for something which can never be gained .
