You're comfortable
Affection like hot steel pressing into skin
Takes your breath away
Numb like ice melting onto your tongue
Cotton candy chains are sweet so you remain
Lingering by as time burns you up
But you love your cotton candy chains
Eat them, so sweet, taste lingers behind
Taste turns to bitterness so there you lay
Saying “where am I? Where am I?”
Screaming on an abruptly hard floor
The burning steel has been lifted to away
And so has your ecstasy, all you feel is pain.
Time is an anesthetic to all wounds,
So pick yourself off the hard floor
Now you're finally out of your fantasy world
Time’s up, you’re not comfortable anymore.
