Ocean
She's always the first to greet you
at the shore.
There's something about her
that just draws you to her.
Deja vu? Perhaps.
She's beautiful, really.
So much so, in fact,
that her beauty is the subject
of songs, poems, paintings.
Mysterious and elusive,
she fascinates.
But be careful with her
because she can be dangerous.
She'll sweep you off of your feet,
and if she wishes,
she will drag you
to the deepest, darkest depths.
Then laugh and say,
"I warned you."

I've long been fascinated by nature, but especially the ocean. It's like most things in nature: full of beauty and rage. Calm one minute, rough the next. I felt the best way to capture it would be in a personified form.
