The Flame in the Candle
The flame,
Shining so bright from its highest peak,
Melting the wax the brighter it gets
Slowly coming down, almost at its base.
Wind, tempting the flame
Seeming to put it out at times,
But through these trials
The flame pulls through,
Shining brighter than before.
But the wind is strong
And the flame grows weak.
And as time goes on,
As it gets closer to its base,
The flame is put out
Then discarded,
Thrown away.
