Brown
Brown
We were born this way.
We were blessed.
Although they tried to tell us everything but that.
Loved by the sun for who we were,
Chosen is what I say.
Burdens- they left.
Growth- is what I saw.
Hate is what they gave.
A diamond will shine with or without.
We were diamonds.
Afraid that we would dominate this country and snatch up
everything
they ever thought was possible,
They covered us.
But little did they know,
what was once covered,
must be uncovered.
Beaten, mistreated, mislead,
but still we rose.
With only the strength from God
That we didnt even know about.
But Oh YES our day was coming.
And must I say when it came,
there was no looking back
And so I am proud to say,
I am black.
