Urban Nights MAG
In my city the sky will never be pitch black
The fog is illuminated by the street lights
Strip clubs flash bright colors
Fluorescent blues and purples rotate around the signs
Gray pigeons flock away
As skateboarders roll down the hills
The privileged roll by in their black Ubers and yellow taxis
Drunk and ready to get to the next bar
Christmas-colored street lights
That reckless drivers choose to ignore
The homeless rummage through the garbage
The back alleys are where it’s dark, isolated from society
Dice are rolled, smoke is blown
Bright gunshots blasted
And my city keeps its life
Through the bright red flashes of ambulances
