Africa
why do we hate her so much?
Is it because of her corruption
or maybe it’s her poverty
Everyone seems to ignore her
She’s beautiful, loving, welcoming and giving
How can’t you love her
Have you met her?
The judgmental part of our minds stops us from meeting her
I’ve met her
she’s welcomed my family even when we’ve robbed her of hers
She’s sacrificed so that we can live a better life
She’s put her people on the line to please us
Stop......just stop
Mother Africa, she has been the one
The only one to do all of these wonderful things
But yet we neglect her and damage her, we can’t see what we have
Until it’s gone
And one day she is going to be gone
