The Blender of Love
A breakup.
The feeling most cannot describe.
Your insides being torn apart,
Shredding into a million pieces.
Like your heart’s in a blender,
Of secrets,
Whispered between him and that other girl.
The real names replaced with fake ones,
On imessage.
Those secrets all kept from you.
Memories,
Of long walks by the sunset,
Late night talks in your car,
And sitting around that golden ember of a campfire,
Telling each other everything.
Which you soon found out was nothing.
And love.
Fake love.
A love that perhaps was never really,
Real.
The pillars and columns,
And walls of wholeness,
That once held you up,
And made you strong,
Collapse.
Brick by brick,
Remembrance by remembrance.
The beads of tears cried,
While lying on that floor of brokeness.
Letting go,
Of those picture perfect moments,
With someone you once loved.
Not dead,
But simply non existent in your life anymore.
