Biological Heroes and Villains
Parents, the heroes to their child
The ones they needed as a child
Great pride they take through you, child
Heroes don’t have to bring you into the world
In fact, they make you their world
All children live in the world of parents,
Not all parents are real though
Saving us for a sacrifice
Now we just envision them as angels in the sky
But, not all parents are the best
Forever a reason to have a hero to run to
From a villain parent who takes
The self- esteem away from her child
Loss of love in a lacking relationship
Of one parent, the other raised me like he was a hero
Innocence of a child left a bit with his life
Of a child to parent

I appreciate my Godfather Bruce because he was everything you could ask for from a parent, so he was my inspiration for this piece.
