Open Letter
Dear music,
You are the one thing,
That I can't live without
You've always been there
For the good times and the bad
You get me through the day
Even the ones that are harder than others
Those days that seem to go on forever;
You made them seem bearable
When I listen to you
All my problems go away
It is just me
And the beat,
Thank you
For helping me get through
Those times where focusing,
seems like the hardest thing in the world.
Helping me gather my thoughts
And calm myself enough to concentrate on what I need to do
I love those good times
Singing horribly in the car,
Dancing when I'm home alone
And Laughing at myself when I mess up the dance moves.
But I've also come to love the bad days to
Drowning myself in the sound
Never wanting to come out.
But, we always, in the end, have to come out
To face the problems that drove me to you
Thank you
For the times that you've let me get away
For the times that I could immerse myself with you
And just have a moment to my self
For the times you left me laughing
For the times you left me sobbing
I know that I can always come to you
When times are at there hardest
Thank you
For always being there
I know I could not have gotten through
It without you.
