From Friends to More
We have known each other for years
I would always catch you staring
And you would look away to our peers
I would pretend I too wasn’t glaring
We were on our own paths
Each doing what we did
But we both found wraths
And we were two heartbroken kids
Hanging in a group
We elevated towards each other
Slowly we were both in less of a droop
Butterflies started to smother
Now it's finally a thing
Hanging together happily
It seems like more than a fling
We hope it's more than a fantasy
