Turning a Page
The clock, minutes, and seconds are counting down
Calendar events are getting crossed off
Each outing requires a new gown
And I am trying to dodge a cough
The checklist to the final day is shortening
Less things to do, and more time to reminisce
I give tight hugs before turning
We laugh and get full with bliss
Tears form but we can't get too sad
We have to accept the ending of this story
And accept that we are now grads
A new chapter awaits for glory
Times to look back and not forget
Even greater times to come
We cannot get full of fret
These bittersweet moments make us numb
