As the sun set on top of the parking garage
I watched as it made your face glow.
Knowing that I will never be able to call you mine.
Sitting there wishing you would hold my hand.
Wondering… why you can’t open your eyes and see
how much I cared about you.
But you were only thinking about her.
The girl that broke your heart,
when I was standing next to you wanting to fix it.
It seemed as if you were blind by the sunset.

I wrote this about one of my best friends who I used to like. I liked them when I wrote this poem, but things are just too complicated so I do not like him anymore.
