Ode To Spring

The snow is melted
The sky is clear
Why are you not outside
What do you fear?
The cold is gone
Pushed away by the sun,
The war is over
And spring has won.
New life is beginning
It's easy to tell
With your eyes you can see
With your nose you can smell.
Flowers are blooming
With bright glowing hues
There is no time for anyone
To have the blues
The sky fills with clouds
That seem ready to break
You wonder if the downpour
Might cause a lake.
So say goodbye to winter
And hello to spring
And welcome all the good changes
That the new season will bring.
