Folded origami

Paper cranes

Delicately fluttering

Count of 1000

Healing comes

When reached

Radioactive

From the womb

Worldly Wars

Caused quite

A predicament

Throwing off

Your own weakness

Running free

For the time being

Growing painfully

Quiet

Bones frail

The sickness doesn’t fail

Made a friend

Within hospitals walls

He fell first

Count

The folded birds

So close

but

To weak to fold the paper

Last days

Time left frays

Fade away

Reach a peace

Of mind

Slip into

Your mind

One

Final time
