Ecc championship

I’m sitting in my blocks

Awaiting for the call

But, my mind

Is not here

It’s in North Vernon Indiana

When I first found you

It was a cool day

Just playing around in the fields

Playing tag with the cousins

“I see him”

They yelled

I ran began to run

Through the corn stalks

I could feel as if the world

Had stopped

I could feel……

The wind in my face

I felt like superman

Flying through the sky

Runner’s take your mark!

I snap back

I feel

Well, nothing

SET!!!

I got up into my stance

Felt like

the longest second of my life

BANG!!!

The sound of the gun

Rang in my head

Like the Liberty Bells

Once did

I came out of the blocks

I feel like a

Feather in the wind

I can only say

I love you and you

Give me

That adrenaline

That I love
