Remember
You fall down.
You get hurt, damaged, disappointed.
You feel pain, despair, sadness.
But get back up.
Remember the joy.
The fun little moments.
Think back…
To when you smiled last.
To the good.
To a time when you were happier.
Remember those who love you.
The friends who laugh with you.
The siblings who love you but could never lose you.
Remember those counting on you.
And if nothing else.
The ones who said you couldn’t, prove them wrong.
Don’t give up.
People care about you.
Don’t stop trying.
Most importantly don’t let yourself down.
You matter.
So get back up because life’s not over yet.

I created this piece during language arts class and I chose to do it because I wanted to inspire people to get back up when they fall down. To not give up because something becomes hard.
