The future of tomorrow was here today

with the sound of the first cry filling the room with joy and

the mother’s heart filled with love.

Passing through the terrible twos, she was

oblivious to the world around her.

But, she found happiness in the little moments.  

Taking each step to nourish,   

she created the building blocks of her life,

Slowly but steadily.

No one seemed to understand her and

she was under more pressure than ever  

to be better.

Adulthood isn’t what she dreamed of

with the stress and responsibilities.  

How young and carefree she used to be.

The wrinkled smile continues to form as each day pass by.

How peaceful we all live,

one moment at a time.
