just try it, and if you hate it you never have to do it again

You tell me I wear my heart on my sleeve

To this I respond

Tell me another way to live

Tell me another way to exist that makes this life easier

Forgive me for the times i bring my hurricane to your door

I don't live in the same world you do

These emotions don't quiet like yours do

I am sorry for the days I am more broken than beautiful

My house is a frightening place to live

Sometimes the fear clings to me when I leave

You tell me to feel things this deeply is a gift

To this I respond

Sometimes it is more curse than blessing

Forgive me for the times I dissect your words

And question your motives

There was a time not long ago

When my life revolved around reading in between the lines

They do not tell you that life as a poet means

Spinning metaphors from things that hold no deeper meaning

I am sorry

I love too fast and too deep

One of the side effects of my tragedies is

I no longer fear a broken heart

You tell me I wear my heart on my sleeve

To this I respond

Sometimes my heart tries to escape itself

For the simple reason

That the grandness of my emotions

Is something that arouses fear in both of us

But what good is this life

If you don’t feel every little thing

Like it’s actually the biggest

Tell me darling,

What good is this love

If you don’t cherish all the insignificance
