But That Was Then, and This is Now
I smile at your presents
The touch of your hand brings warmth and light
Turning my cheeks rosy with delight.
The way the wind pulls your hair back,
Makes everything feel okay
But that was then, and this is now.
Now that I know the truths and the lies.
That smile that once appeared on my face is now filled with dread
The way you use to make me feel warmth is now only darkness.
Now I know truly, what your intentions were.
