Because I Could Not Find Light

Because I could not find light
Darkness found me.
Every street light disappears
So I no longer see.
He took away every moment
That I have ever felt free
And replaced it with anxiety,
Leaving my memories ignorant.
With darkness comes fear
To an extent unknown,
But he too can be defeated
With one little sliver of light.
