Palm
ask me what i love most
i’ll reply with a tree
the ones found along the coast
right before the sand touches the sea
the memories of good times
rested in the soul
along with the tan lines
& making me feel whole
lined along the streets
finding life southernmost
i take a deep breathe and smell peace
clashing my pina colada for a toast
so strong in beauty
and ever so stunning
there to serve its duty
leaving the beaches buzzing
the sweet savory milk
that provides with love
goes down your throat like silk
i’ll put nothing above
palm trees make me happier than ever
they make me stress free
maybe because they remind me of my brother
& my family
