The Arms of You
I just this moment
This moment of you and I
To last forever
And for some reason,
All the anxiety that's
Bubbled up inside me--
Rests every time
You embrace me.
Your warm arms,
They sling around my body,
It's more than a reassurance
As tough as you really are--
You give the best affection
Maybe this whole time
I was missing you.
I'm drawn
To the curve of your lips,
Your soft stare
I'm drawn
I long to be around you
Hit me with your gentle wave,
Of kisses--
Planted all over my face
Just to see my smile bloom
You tell me everything
Without you knowing
That this is what I want
Conversations,
Life plans,
Late night jokes,
Open thoughts
You pour emotions
Into me as if--
I'm your personal ocean.
I hope you don't outgrow me,
If I resist,
I'll fall harder
And I need you to catch me--
With your warm arms.

I enjoyed writing this piece because it shows how one could feel comfortable within their relationship with someone else. Just something as a simple embrace could make one feel at peace within their love life; especially if the person shows much affection.
