Monsters
The world is full of monsters.
Big bads with sharp teeth,
Sly scheming sneaks,
or unassuming peons.
They carry darkness in their hearts
and it shrouds them,
Following them where ever they go.
They gnash and bash and smash,
Loot, pillage, and steal.
Sabotage and trickery.
But not all monsters are bad.
Perhaps they are simply misunderstood.
Maybe they don't think they're evil.
We could be judging the monsters
For doing what's right
In their world.
Who are we to say
What a monster can and can't do.
Sometimes a monster
Just needs to get by.

I believe that we can't judge people simply by what we see, because any situation is always more complicated than we think. Until we truly understand the situation a person is in, we will have trouble understanding why they make the decisions that they do. From our limited perspective, there are only so many judgements we can make.
