In Mind
I hold my breath when I am alone
saving air for when minds surround me
flashing genius,
love,
terror
Hidden below gnarls of tissue, drowning in fluid,
blunted by sertraline,
cerebellum strains;
filled with small souls,
slaughtered
Through watery windows, I watch them wither;
mourning beauty:
electricity titled wicked,
wasted
But still, giggles dance across eardrums like flames
and I smile at the sound
automatically
Spirit aches, eyes shine,
serotonin screams,
and I breathe
