Making my Own Clothes
I love the whir of my sewing machine
as it's weaving threads of blue and green
Our world is destroyed by your demands
your need to constantly consume
new distractions from new brands
until the air is filled with fumes
The dollar bills you spend
put fast fashion in glossy magazines,
landfills overflow with old trends,
meanwhile, you've got every new pair of jeans
As our marble of blue and green
fills with pollution,
the whir of a sewing machine
sounds like a revolution
