As I walked through the quiet forest of loneliness,

The branches, leafless

Hung low to the cold hard ground,

Drenched in shame

Stepping further into the cloudy and dark forest.

I look up at the glassy blue sky of hope and happiness

Scratching through the seams of hateful branches

Walking up hills, and down mountains,

Through trees and around bushes

I came up on a steadily paced waterfall,

Dumping into the Great Arctic Ocean

The soft sound of rumbling seagulls

The feeling of waves crashing onto rocks

Water splashed onto your face
