Colours
do you think
primary colours have feelings ?
they're the only way you'd ever see
how green the grass is
right next to the park where i
almost got to kiss you.
or the orange of the sunset
that i meant to watch with you
wrapped around my body.
or the purple on my nails
that you loved to play with
since they were so long.
do you think
they'd be happy ?
or at least appreciate
that i got to mark
all these meaningful moments
because of colours just like me
secondary.

now at first reading this poem you may be confused
the poem ends with comparing myself to secondary colours when in the beginning i ask if y/n thinks primary colours have feelings
to further explain,
secondary colours are the production of mixing primary colours
and in relation to the poem,
i try to display the fact that although i had these moments
i was only the second choice
i was all of the parts of the person they wanted most
from the people who were primary to them.
