A Path Through Pressure
Today, letters define our generation
Our worth, intelligence, and who we are
Stereotypes are prominent but shortened
to a simple line structure invented by society
As if a percentage of the population fit in boxes
Labeled from A to F
Conformity is a requirement,
not a choice.
Nothing is ever a choice.
“To make life easier,” they say.
So, we can either squirm along, uncomfortable and exhausted,
or risk our future to not be a slave to stress.
You cannot choose both.
I’m confused at the fork in the road.
Pondering, hoping for a revelation to appear out of my issues.
If you don’t spot me at that schism,
Try a different angle,
And look for the third path.
