I have round and rubbery skin. I breathe in and out.

I mean nothing till I need to be used,

Or morphed into what people want me to be, making kids smile.

I mean no harm, but I do have a breaking point,

And it always ends with sadness.

Most of the time I stay, waiting to be used.

I am surrounded by others who look just like me,

I'm used to this by now, doing the same thing.

Only helium can fulfill me.

Now I am a hot air balloon. People come and go,

Having our ups and downs.

I help setting a mood or just create fun.

The same people come back sometimes,

But yet they never stay.

I am big, full of color and life,

I get a feeling of excitement when I see people.

In me people have created memories,

Create laughter and joy as if I were a circus.

What inspired me to write this is that balloons are objects that really have no meaning besides for just fun or people's pleasure. That is how a lot of people feel, like they are just being used for people's enjoyment. There are also bigger balloons (such as hot hair balloons) that can have more meaning than normal balloons. It is an interesting point of view to look through, yes it's dark but it can also be happy, there are different ways you can look at it.
