My Insignificance
my parents named me Sarah
Because they didn’t want to ruin a name they liked.
I know this because they told me.
Sarah means princess.
And truth be told, I’m not a princess.
I have never lived in a castle
or fought a dragon.
After my brother
They didn’t want more kids.
Then I came along
Like a tsunami
In a calm lake.
Everyone in my family has a family name,
Then there is me.
The one named Sarah because that way
When I messed it up no one cared.
My name really has no significance.
Just something giving to me at birth
So I would know when I was being spoken to.
