Droplets
A drop falls creating a speckled masterpiece upon the window, each unique
The leaves blow from their damp branches and hit the ground ever so slightly
Each twig dancing with the breeze
Then all at once silence
The trees stand still and firm against the wind
The water droplets come together and race along the glass
The gray, cloudy skies a blanket over the soaked land beneath them
Each cloud a new shade of despair
Or are they?
Could they be new life?
Could they be children jumping in puddles or birds dancing in their baths?
Could each drop of water give life to a blooming flower?
Without rain could we have color?
And without the wind, would the trees know how to stand tall and strong?
